We dropped in on our way to the Golden nugget. Great workers who helped with drink orders. You'd think they'd be in full swing with it being the weekend but that was not the case. It was cold, much like me sitting under the vent. Massachusetts had the highest population of Lablue families in 1880. The catfish was chewy but good. My first fave is Pats of Henderson's.

This is a family style restaurant with large tables, and some communal seating. They do have a lunch buffet but we decided to order off of the menu. Went there while passing through Sulphur, and had a great meal. A simple smile or head nod to acknowledge another maybe just the thing that person needs to uplift their spirit…. The reason any stars at all were received is because my fish and shrimp ordered off the menu was atleast hot although a little salty. I'll definitly return on my next trip to Lake Charles. I'd like to say the service was decent given the awful food experience but that was lacking too. This one's a definite return in the future. All the trimmings for the potato came on the side. He liked it and Stacy said they have their own sausage place next door! It's in Sulphur, so I stayed away : Wow! The breading was very light and all three were delicious. It was a great meal for the price in a family restaurant. I also ordered the fried oyester platter.
